Pick a reading profile
- Click Aa at the top right, then Reading profile.
- Choose Default, Large Print, Compact, Neuro-friendly or Paragraph Focus.
- Neuro-friendly uses the Atkinson Hyperlegible font, extra space between letters, words and lines, shorter lines and a soft cream page. It was made with ADHD and dyslexic readers in mind.
- Paragraph Focus shows one paragraph at a time and dims the rest. Use ↑ and ↓ to move.
Tip. With Pro, choose Custom to set your own font, size, spacing, width and heading sizes, and save it by name.
Pick a theme
- Click Aa, then Page colours. Or press ⌘K and type theme.
- Choose a theme card. Each one shows a tiny page in its colours: title, heading, bullets and a link.
- Auto follows your Mac: Paper in Light, Night in Dark. Paper, Night and Mist are free too.
Adjust a theme and save your own
- In Page colours, choose Adjust colours.
- Pick One accent for everything to recolour the title line, bullets, links and quote bar in one go.
- With Pro, change any part: page, text, title, each heading level, bold, italic, links, bullets, quote bar, inline code and table headers. The page changes as you pick.
- If a colour is hard to read, the row says Hard to see.
- Type a name and choose Save as my theme. Find it at the top of the theme list and in My themes.
Tip. Click any part of the preview, like the title or a bullet, to jump straight to its colour.
Zoom, width and the window
- Use the zoom menu (100%) or ⌘+ and ⌘− to make the whole page bigger or smaller. ⌘0 goes back to 100%.
- In Aa, set the text size and page width, and choose the window's look: Auto, Off-white, Light blue or Dark.
- Full view (⌃⌘F) fills the screen with the page. Quiet mode (⌘., Pro) hides everything but the page.
